Athens welcomed the Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar, Kobe Bryant, on 26 -27 September 2011.The scheduled visits included the opening of a sports store in central Athens, visiting the sports center DAIS, the NIKE store in Kifissia and OAKA stadium.
Hundreds of fans gathered in specially designated areas for the events to see him up close. Kobe Bryant met with young children to coach them, played with them one on one, and even judged a dunk contest.
